Still Grounds Dublin
Still Grounds is a photographic series created in Dublin, Ohio,
during the seasonal rhythms surrounding
the Murifiled Village PGA Golf Course landscape.
Rather than documenting sport or event,
the work attends to what remains still:
land shaped by care, patience, and time.
Across water, fairway, fog, snow, and evening light,
the golf course becomes a contemplative ground—
where human design meets natural presence,
and quiet observation unfolds.

The sky writes, the water remembers.

The land does not reveal itself at once.

The day rests where it began.
This series approaches the golf course not as a site of competition,
but as a lived landscape—maintained, walked, and observed over time.
The images are made without staging or intervention.
They reflect sustained attentiveness to atmosphere:
moments when the land appears to breathe, hold memory, or rest between uses.
In this sense, Still Grounds aligns with
European traditions of landscape photography and contemporary gallery practice,
where place is understood as a temporal and emotional condition rather than a spectacle.
