The Chronicle of Stones

Yuexi · Seven Inner Realms

A quiet record of stones as witnesses—
to time, to stillness, to inner light.
Each realm reveals one stone,
and one way of seeing.

Ⅰ. Celestial Signs · The Cosmos Within
Stars fall. Silence remains.

Mystic Moon at First Light

Form|形
Curved like a newborn crescent,
the stone gathers inward without force—
a beginning held in silence.

Texture|肌理
Dark and tempered, touched with ember tones,
its surface breathes between water and night,
light moving without display.

Tone|色韵
Deep black dissolves into muted amber—
cool and warm meeting gently,
as dawn hesitates within darkness.

Aura|气质
Quiet, alert, contained.
Nothing advances, nothing retreats—
clarity rests before action.

Meaning|寓意
Before fullness, there is direction.
Before brilliance, a single light.
Stillness gives birth to awakening.

Ⅱ. Flame & Flow · Light in Motion
Fire passes. Light stays.

Ember-Sealed Relic

Form|形

Rising sharp, grounded wide,
the stone stands like a fractured seal—
a broken tablet guarding silence.

Texture|肌理

Scorched patterns and ash-dark marks emerge,
as if fire once spoke here
and chose to remain.

Tone|色韵

Burnt red and deep charcoal intertwine,
veins of amber light surface faintly—
embers remembered, not revived.

Aura|气质

Still, severe, and inwardly intense.
Not dramatic, yet unyielding—
a relic that refuses to explain itself.

Meaning|寓意

A seal is not erasure,
nor is fire the end of memory.
What is burned may still endure.

Ⅲ. Zen & Sacred Ground · Stillness as Path

Fire passes. Light stays.

Golden Light Zen Stone

Form|形
Rounded and grounded,
the stone sits like a meditating presence—
still, centered, unshaken.

Texture|肌理
Bronze-like patterns emerge softly,
as if time has breathed warmth into the surface,
light resting beneath silence.

Tone|色韵
Muted gold within deep earth hues—
a quiet glow that does not seek attention,
yet cannot be denied.

Aura|气质
Calm, inward, unmoving.
Water flows around it,
but the heart of the stone remains clear.

Meaning|寓意
True light does not shine outward.
It settles within.
Stillness becomes illumination.

Ⅳ. Traces & Seals · Memory Without Words

What was written, remains unwritten.

Stream-Washed Ancient Inkstone

Form|形

Squared and low,
the stone rests like an ancient inkstone—
steady, receptive, enduring.

Texture|肌理

Its surface bears softened edges,
washed by flowing water over time,
touch revealing quiet use.

Tone|色韵

Mossed green and muted ochre meet,
as if ink and stone remember each other—
color held in restraint.

Aura|气质

Calm, practical, and inwardly alive.
Water moves around it,
yet the stone keeps its measure.

Meaning|寓意

True traces are not carved by force.
They are shaped by patience and flow.
What remains becomes a vessel of thought.

Ⅴ. Mountains & Waters · The World Held Small

Vastness gathered.

Jade Peak in Morning Mist

Form | 形

Rising yet contained,
the stone holds a quiet peak within itself—
strength gathered without display.

Texture | 肌理

The surface bears traces of heat and time,
softened, sealed, and inwardly fused—
as if memory has learned to rest.

Tone | 色韵

Warm earth tones settle into muted gold,
neither bright nor dark,
a light tempered by restraint.

Aura | 气质

Still, guarded, and self-contained.
Nothing escapes, nothing seeks—
presence remains complete.

Meaning | 寓意

What has passed is not lost,
but sealed into clarity.
True transformation leaves no noise behind.

Ⅵ. Spirit Beings · Between Myth and Memory

Not imagined. Not named.

Ancient Beast’s Sacred Claw

Form|形
A rounded mass bearing a single imprint,
the stone stands like a witness paused in time,
strength held within stillness.

Texture|肌理
The surface is weathered yet compact,
the dark mark embedded rather than imposed,
as if memory has sunk into stone.

Tone|色韵
Earthy gold and deep umber intertwine,
warmth carrying an ancient gravity,
light subdued, never loud.

Aura|气质
Silent, vigilant, and enduring.
Nothing moves, yet something watches—
a presence that does not fade.

Meaning|寓意
This is not a trace of force, but of passage.
What once lived has withdrawn,
leaving awareness impressed upon matter.

Ⅶ. Inner Seal · Hidden Light

Nothing revealed. Nothing concealed.

Heart of Gold Flowing

Form|形
Softly squared, gently rounded,
the stone rests like a sealed vessel,
holding fullness without display.

Texture|肌理
Mottled layers flow across the surface,
as if warmth has slowly circulated within,
leaving no sharp edge behind.

Tone|色韵
Golden umber deepened by shadow,
a mellow radiance tempered by time,
light that breathes rather than shines.

Aura|气质
Quiet, tender, and inwardly rich.
It does not call attention,
yet invites lingering presence.

Meaning|寓意
This is a heart refined, not exposed.
Affection has settled into substance,
and gentleness has learned to endure.

These stones are not collected to be explained—

they are placed to be encountered.

Viewing Invitation

These stone images are not meant to be interpreted quickly.

They are not specimens, symbols, or conclusions.

They are invitations to pause.

To look without classification.
To sense without explanation.

To allow stillness within you to meet what stands before you.

If something resonates,
let it remain unnamed.

That is enough.

A small number of works from The Chronicle of Stones are shared openly.

This is not a collection to acquire,
